I went to Michael after a trip to States as I was feeling sluggish and wanted to get back into a routine of eating properly and also training. I had always wanted to do personal training and figured now was the perfect time. I do two sessions a week in a group and honestly love it. Michael has been great, very supportive, takes the time to get to know you and what your goals are and never makes you feel under pressure. I had a goal to lose 10 pounds and ended losing 12 since the start of June. This was all down to Michaels training and encouragement. Would highly recommend him to anyone!

When I first started training with Michael I hadn't a clue how to exercise properly. But with his help I quickly improved week by week. I looked forward to my classes with him because he has the ability to make exercising fun. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for a highly qualified personal trainer. He gave me the confidence I needed to join a gym and he showed me that a healthy lifestyle can be interesting and fun.

Please, do yourself a favour, pick up the phone and book your first session with Michael. You will not regret it. I went to Michael to tone up and slim down for my wedding. I had 2 sessions with him per week for about 5 months. I have tried all sorts of exercise classes, slimming worlds, boot camps, gym, and never stuck at it. With Michael's PT classes I never hesitated about showing up, and crucially for me, I never checked the clock during each session. Michael really takes the time to build a strong rapport with all of his clients and gets to know them and their goals. He is incredibly supportive, but you work hard. He tailors every session, so it never gets boring and the chat and banter makes it fly by. For me, the 2, hour long sessions each week not only helped me to achieve my goal, but helped to alleviate stress and anxiety. Can't recommend this highly enough.
I’ve tried them all, slimming world, no carbs, only fruit, juices and shakes and none of them ever worked. I’ve joined gyms and spent hours on cross trainers and treadmills with no results. Michael's Program is the only form of weightloss and fitness change that has worked for me. I can always feel my fitness improving as well as the scales showing results. I have lost 10kilos so far and I cant wait to lose more. I would highly recommend Michael's program for anyone who is not only looking to lose weight but wants to lose it the healthy way. I started training with Michael in June 2016 doing his personal training classes. I was a member in a gym but could never find the motivation to go regularly. My wife was doing the HIIT classes with him already and had some great results, so I decided to give them a go myself. I received a copy of his "bodybible" which has detailed nutrition information and some great recipes for healthy eating. Since starting the classes and improving my eating habits and following Michael's plan I've lost 14 kgs and my fitness levels have improved dramatically. I feel much healthier from day to day and I feel the classes are good enough to keep me coming back, which is a huge thing for me personally. Five years ago I was overweight and very unfit. I would lose my breath climbing the stairs or running after a bus. I lacked confidence and felt terrible about myself. I knew I needed to make a change. I started small, making healthier food choices, going to some classes, and taught myself to jog until I could run 5km. I lost 28kg, although I'd rather say I kicked 28kg's ass, because it was hard work and "lost" sounds like an accident. But then I hit a wall. I couldn't lose any more weight on my own and I felt I wasn't making any more progress. I lost interest, let my gym membership expire and put back on 9kg.
I didn't want to undo all of my hard work so I decided to get back on track and do something about it. I started going to the Bodycoach fitness/HIIT classes about a year ago and I'm so happy I did. In the beginning it was tough, at times I thought I might pass out or get sick, but I quickly built up my fitness levels. Michael gives me the motivation to push myself to my limits and the classes really challenge me. I’m losing the weight I put back on, but more importantly than that I've gained a huge amount of fitness. I can see improvements that remind me that I'm making progress and keep me motivated even when I’m not losing weight. I’m stronger. I can do pushups and bicycle knees (exercises I could never do before). I can run faster. I can squat lower. I can hold a plank for longer. I can do 50 burpees. I can breathe easier when I exercise. Just last month I conquered my "Everest", and was barely out of breath (a small mountain that I tried to climb twice when I lacked the fitness and couldn't make it to the top).
Michael’s HIIT classes are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. He's an excellent trainer and the class is a really supportive bunch of people. I feel fitter and healthier than ever and I don’t intend to quit again any time soon. - Maria Walsh
I have tried various gyms and training classes over the years and Bodycoach is by far the best one yet. Absolutely brilliant fitness classes - early morning workouts, evening HIIT classes or 1 to 1 Personal Training. A holistic approach to fitness, mindset and nutrition. The class atmosphere is very welcoming and open to all levels. Lots of variety, never a dull moment! Emphasis is on fun and fitness. Highly recommended!

I started training with Michael last year just before Christmas in a short space of times, I achieved some really great results in terms of weight loss and building muscle. I would do 1 PT session a week and then attended his HIIT classes which has increased my fitness dramality.
His approach is straight to the point no BS and he has given me some great nutrition tips & tricks which have had a massive impact on accelerating my results.

Training with Bodycoach is brilliant. The best decision I made was contacting Michael. The encouragement and support that you get from Micheal is not like any other gym. He is dedicated 100% to his clients. Not only is it fitness that you learn about you also learn about nutrition. I have learned how to cook proper healthy meals because of Micheal bodycoach. The classes and PT are so much fun. You always look forward to your next training session. If you are looking for results bodycoach is definitely the place to go. I started training with Michael in June 2016 with my sister in law. Strength in numbers! I have suffered with panic attacks for most of my adult life and doing new things or being away from home is never easy for me. I've have 4 kids under 12 , my life's busy, but and as far as exercise went I hadn't done any in such a long time. I'd tried spinning, running, I'd last 2 weeks and be done. The thoughts of exercise wasn't appealing anymore. I'd been seeing post on Instagram from Bodycoach.ie . I though to myself, oh that looks fun, then the excuses came, I wouldn't be fit enough or I didn't really have the time, I'd look stupid. (I'm like a beetroot in every class) .I'm 36 and really needed to change me life for my body as well as my mind. I wanted to do it for myself. I contacted Michael through Instagram. He told me to pop down and try it out. Sure what not ? We sat outside that first night genuinely not wanting to go in and a few times we were going to just drive away!! Michael was extremely welcoming and explained what we would be doing and to just take it at our own pace. I hadn't done a Jumping Jack since primary school! After that first class I'm not sure what I felt! But we had completed it, and didn't get sick! But I knew I couldn't wait to go back again. So we did. We signed up and got stuck in. Micheal gave me a nutritional guide and sent me in a better healthier direction. I think what's great about Micheal is also the fact that he does the class with us. He's not just barking orders at us. Everyone is so welcoming and we genuinely have fun. You can't beat the feeling after a class. Honestly it's the best. I've lost 12kg, and dropped 2 dress sizes. I'm happy with my progress. And I am very happy to continue on my journey with Micheal. I even have a few favourite exercises!!! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to change. I feel so much better in myself to how I was feeling this time last year. Your never too old, never too unfit, never too busy, and your never gonna change unless you try.

I recently trained with Michael in his group sessions for a couple of months and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. To start with the group was small, friendly and supportive which was a great start and I really looked forward to the sessions and the fun we had there. In terms of the most important part, the training, I hadn't trained in about 6 months and was anxious about going back and regaining my strength. Michael helped me to build it back up in no time. The sessions were diverse, no 2 days the same and I learned loads of new cool strength exercises I had never done before which was a real buzz for me. He challenged me every week and pushed me to go as heavy as I could. I really enjoyed the whole experience and would recommend him to anyone looking to start training.
I've being training with Michael the last 8 months and I couldn't fault him or his class at all. Constantly supporting me and encouraging everyone to work harder and do better for themselves.
I was never a gym person and would go two or three times and leave but I genuinely enjoy going to class and having a laugh while training.
Since I have started with Michael I've lost just under 20 kg and he has being so supportive since the very start... 100% recommend Michael to anyone looking to lose weight or to become fit in a comfortable environment. When I first contacted Micheal I was low on confidence and as a result my health was suffering. After my first meeting with Michael I knew I was in good hands. His understanding of how mental health is just as important as physical health if someone is to reach there long term goals is truly invaluable. With his nutritional advice and tough, but enjoyable personal training sessions I was dropping weight in no time and getting stronger and faster every single week. But more importantly my confidence was improving. I'm now 6 months into this journey and I couldn't be happier with my progress. Every now and again I've had set backs, but I've learned thanks to Michael's guidance not to give up, just pick yourself up the next day and get back on track. I've been on various diets over the past 10 years, joined weight loss groups, gyms, done different classes and in May of this year I was still in that same situation, overweight, constantly tired, constantly feeling ill and not caring about what food I was putting into my body. I'm a mum to 3 wonderful children and I constantly think of what kind of an example I am to them. So in June 2016 myself and my sister in-law decided we were going to do something to lose weight. We were thinking of joining a weight loss group but then we came across Michael's HIIT classes, so we thought we'd give the class a go before we committed ourselves to a weight loss group. On the 9th June 2016 I done my first HIIT class with Michael and loved it, it was super tough and really pushed me to my limits but I loved it. Joining these classes was the best decision I've ever made. 2 months later and I feel fantastic, with nearly 2 stone off and down 2 dress sizes! I have so much energy now, I sleep much better and my fitness is at a level I never thought was possible to achieve. My view on food has completely changed, I feel like this has been a lifestyle change rather than a "diet". I feel like I know so much more when it comes to food and the foods that I fuel my body with has become a priority. I look forward to every class and I try push myself in every class because I have realized the benefits that it has. I love that I'm losing weight and looking better but nothing can top the fitness that I feel and how good my body feels. I never want to feel any other way! So about 3 months ago I joined up with Bodycoach's HIIT classes. I saw great results with my girlfriend and wanted to see if I could achieve something similar. To be honest, for the last 10 years, I have been overweight, at one stage topping the scales at 150kg. Life is awkward at that weight, even down to clothes shopping: seeing something you like and heading straight for the last thing in the rack hoping it was your size.
After hurting my back a couple of years ago and recovering from that, I dropped to below 130kgs but it was just weight loss, I was still unfit and weak from my back surgery. The weakness was primarily due to fear of recurrence so I didn't push myself in the gym or anything like that, just happy plodding along losing small amounts of weight. Since joining Mick's class, I have shed a further 13kgs but not only that, I am fitter!! My stamina, endurance and strength have all increased. I would say my core is stronger than ever.
The pace in the class is tough but manageable (you never leave feeling like you haven't achieved something) and because of work I cannot attend every class but I make it work. Through pulled muscles, lack of ability or whatever else I had going on, Mike is able to accommodate myself and others in the class while still pushing and ensuring total inclusion in the class. If you want a class that works and more importantly is fun while it works, come along, you won't regret it. I am by no means done with Mick's class and will be continuing on until i reach my next goal. -Kenneth Burke
I started training with Michael in February. At the time I had been overweight for a while had been on yoyo ‘’diets’’ for years on and off and always ended up back heavier than I had originally started. I was sick of going to gyms where I didn’t really know if the exercise I was doing was correct or whether it was working and I’d get bored pretty quickly and end up just going for a swim. I had seen Michaels facebook page and decided to text him and my first question was ‘’can you help me’’ and then went into explaining how unfit I was etc. I found Michael to be extremely passionate about his business and the health and well being of his clients. He is genuinely interested in his clients health outside of the time spent during a personal training session. He is always on hand to offer advice. The fact that he had been through his own weightloss journey helped me relax and listen to his advice. The training sessions Michael offers are tough but also fun and every week there’s a new challenge so you can never be bored! Michaels training sessions will always push you to your limit and he is very encouraging. What Michael has provided me with is a complete lifestyle change, with a new approach to food and exercise not just a ‘’diet’’ and I enjoy every single one of his sessions. It has been the best decision I ever made in my life and I am a much healthier happier more confident person. I would recommend Michael to everyone.
